He's a showman alrite….a thorough showman….flawless to an extent that's unbelievable…clad in a blue blazer which stayed intact throughout the show….and backed by vocalists Joy Roch and Donna Guardian, guitarist Dominic Miller, keyboardist Kippler, Jason Rebello on piano, percussionist Rhain Criga and drummer Keith Carlocle, Sting put up a show that the 30,000 present in the crowd would never forget. A grand treat was dished out as Sting played everything from
Message in a Bottle from his "police' days to the more recent sacred love
and desert rose . The next 2 hours of bliss saw Bangalore getting 'as good
as ever' renditions of 'roxanne', 'every breath you take', 'englishman in
new york', 'if i ever lose my faith in you', 'every little thing she does
is magic', 'shape of my heart', as well the songs from his latest album
like 'whenever i say your name', 'dead man's rope', 'never coming home',
and 'send your love'. I just wish it lasted longer but Bangalore is no exception to the pansy loudspeaker rule in this country so things came to an end at 10 pm. The VIP junta included Rahul Dravid, Gautam Singhania, Shivamani (headbanging to every track), Mahesh Bhupati, and many more apart from myself….oh yeah….hell lotta beautiful women too!!!!! Strange thing is I didn't see them after that, spent 3 days in Bangalore trying to find em but nope…. So lemme rub it in again for those who missed it….Sting is God. And
if ur not too pansy a coupla months down the line, try n make it to the U2
concert that's happenin in May…. Adios! Bijou
